The large rounded leaves of this hardy ligularia features amazing chocolate-maroon leaves with purple undersides. Golden-yellow daisy-like flowers top the clump in late summer. A bold-textured perennial perfect for combining with yellow-foliaged plants in the border. Forms clumps 3 feet tall by 2 to 3 feet wide in damp soils in light shade. Hardy in Zone 4 to 9. It features narrow yellow leaves forming a clump 10 inches tall, topped with 12 inch spikes of lavender flowers in summer.
