Vigorous growth rate and small habit lend it to many uses in shady landscapes. Lavender flowers in midsummer. (Zillis/Solberg, 2003) L This majestic sport of Hosta nigrescens 'Elatier' features broad green leaves edged with a nice white margin. The upright spreading habit and growth size lends itself for use as a specimen. A choice selection destined to be a classic. Pale lavender flowers on arching scapes top the clump in July. Golden-yellow streaks occur along the interior margins where the white and green overlap. 'Vulcan' has a vigorous growth rate for a white-centered hosta. (J. & J. Wilkins, 1995) M 'Wolverine' combines beautiful gold edged blue, lance shaped leaves with a rapid growth rate. Lavender flowers occur in August above an attractive mound of gently arching foliage. 'Wolverine' is an essential hosta for any collection.

(P. Aden, 1978) L Bright gold heavily textured heart-shaped leaves makes this an excellent choice to brighten up shady areas of the garden. The metallic gold puckered leaves of 'Zounds' seem to glow, especially in the evening. White flowers early in the season.
