(E. Elslager, 1999) L Ed Elslager's large H. sieboldiana type selection from 'Dorothy Benedict' X H. hypoleuca cross produces very large leaves with a dark green center. A very wide greenish yellow margin circles the nearly round corrugated leaves. Pale lavender flowers top the clump in midsummer. (W. West, 1987) L This west coast creation features an interesting round, puckered, intensely cupped-shaped leaf. In fact, no other hosta boasts such deeply cupped leaves. White medium bell-shaped flowers in June to July. This is a distinct cultivar, great as a specimen plant. (V. Santa Lucia, 1989) L This majestic hosta with its upright form commands attention. Choice and highly coveted, this sport of 'Gold Regal' displays beautiful dark green leaves edged with a bright golden margin. Garden designers find its vase-shaped growth habit very desirable, it is ideal for under planting with smaller ground covers and perennials. (H. Hansen/Shady Oaks Nursery, 2002) M This tetraploid version of 'Sea Thunder' was named in the honor of Mildred Seaver, Amercia's "Queen of Hostas". Like its parent, it displays green leaves with a white center. However, the tetraploid version has a much wider green margin and much thicker leaves, which are held more upright than 'Sea Thunder'. Lavender flowers top the clump in August.

(R. Savory, 1982) Mini Small, green, round heart-shaped leaves with bell-shaped pale lavender flowers in midsummer. 'Baby Bunting' is excellent as a minature specimen or used as a ground cover hosta. It is one of the best miniature hostas from Savory's nursery.
(E. Elslager, 1999) L This introduction from Michigan hybridizer Ed Elslager is a seedling of the famous 'Dorothy Benedict' and H. hypoleuca. Its broad green leaves are edged with a wide gold margin that changes to creamy-white later in the season. Pure white flowers open early in the hosta season.

(R. Savory, 1985) S A wonderful gold H. longissima hybrid suitable for edging or specimen use in the rock garden. Long narrow gold leaves form a small clump. Lavender bell-shaped flowers in late summer.
(T. Avent, 2000) M-L This beautiful bold hosta is a seedling from 'Blue Umbrellas'. The 4-foot clump is comprised of large, oblong leaves with a nice wide creamy-white edge. Medium lavender flowers top the broad clump in midseason. 'Blazing Saddles' is a great combination of vigor and unusual leaf shape. You will like this one!
(P. Aden, 1986) L This fantastic cultivar is everyone's favorite large blue. Probably the largest blue hosta known, this industry standard produces huge blue leaves with a heavy texture and many near white hyacinth-like flowers in midsummer. An ideal specimen or background plant.
(Benedict/Stratton) S This Benedict hybrid resulted from a self pollinated 'Dorset Blue' seedling. Thick rounded leaves are a good blue color and form a compact mound. Pale lavender flowers in July.
